LLM is not intelligence, it is a statistical generator with a huge amount of exceptions (not like synapses). I don't think the mouse and an LLM equate in the least.

Good news: the less you drive, the less the car breaks. I didn't even realise that relationship is basically reverse exponential. I've driven 3 years with the same oil, <10 000 km and all the expense is fuel, a light bulb and my time keeping the car free of rodents. They tend to flock to cars that aren't driven.

True about the aging plastic parts but that got much better compared to previous gen. Probably worse again now, especially electronics. Parts integrated, expensive, harder to change etc.

@natalie@prismst.one @eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place I'm thinking there's quite a lot of truth to the fact that almost nobody cares about the code. End users tend to complain ineffectually if they notice at all. The decision makers look at the estimates and pick the cheapest and quickest.
If something is cheaper to create from scratch, no matter how many security bugs it creates... There are no processes in place to associate those aspects almost anywhere I know of.
Most business code is garbage nobody sane wants to maintain.

That gets more of those plants started and it'll all grow right in in a few years, in the leadup years there'll be plants that are needed to enrich the top soil with missing nutrients from deeper soil.

Those should have stiffer side walls, allowing for lower tire pressure. From 37 mm to 40 mm. A gravel biker told me bottoming out rarely damages aluminum rims in practice, gotta do crazy stuff to do worse than dent them.
Time to test. It has been bumpy riding hard packed gravel roads (basically asphalt with stones exposed on the surface), gonna compare.

Gas engines might be less durable in that respect but still, it's 300 000 km typically before anything but an alternator change is in order.

State apparatus is fully into the AI craze, the companies in the capital are only looking for people "willing to use new tools" - meaning corporate LLMs.
Job ads for the rest of EU don't look much better. My guess is because every position that doesn't emphasize AI is filled instantly.

There are LLMs that I don't oppose. Basically, those that don't make the little guy use Anubis https://anubis.techaro.lol/ or make any decisions about people's lives in peacetime.

The ones that are important obviously need the shock now (just like wars are needed to shock sense into people). An advantage of Rocky for docker containerisation seems to be a really minimal official (below 10MB) image for that, no maintenance burden.

If you're experienced on Debian, not much difference. May have to install the epel-release package (for instance, fail2ban is available from there , https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/epel/#_quickstart ) which is probably not very intuitive for someone new to the RedHat side.

Basically a rule. Intelligent beings don't have just the rules, they can also create the rules on their own, by example of other situations and comparison, reflection etc, thus learning.
