I matured in Austin during the 80s/90s. I had more than a few trip-ups with APD. By all counts I should've at least been arrested some of those times. Maybe shot. I walked everywhere, at all hours. Snuck out, snuck in. There were a few rookie situations that I understand solidly only remained instructive and comically anecdotal, because I was a suburban white kid.
