So last week a fucker from our parent company jumped to a conclusion and said within earshot of me/about me “Gaijin always do that” while I proceeded to do the opposite.
Today said fucker is up to his neck in issues with our New Zealand team.
Would really help if he had a native English speaker on his side.
Fuck him. Not my problem.
Nothing about my job is difficult. Anyone with logical problem solving skills can diagnose and repair issues.
I was a software engineer my entire career, now I fix hardware.
Fixing is the easy part, identifying the problem takes the most skill but by eliminating possibilities it’s easy to get to the source of a problem.
Just back from a visit to my back guy.
Consultation, X-rays, rehabilitation session costing just ¥1,910.
That’s $11.66 freedom bucks. Future rehabilitation sessions just a few dollars.
But on the flip side this weak joke of a country is incapable of waging and supporting illegal wars around the globe. So, there’s that I guess.
Neil the Seal has his own Wikipedia page and over 1.3 million followers on TikTok, making him the most famous Tasmanian alive.
Neil is a fan of traffic cones.

What is it with tourists and Ginza Itoya?
My niece wants to visit, but I’m convinced I could take her to Loft, Hands or literally any other stationery store and she’d have more than enough buying options without traveling to Ginza and fighting 1000’s of other tourists who worship there.
I don’t usually wear short sleeves to work unless it’s a polo, but 36 degrees today!
Also, parent company wonks have a dress code however we do not so I’m keen to disrupt.
@glen_malley@mstdn.ca For short flights I’ll always take a window. Anything longer and aisle is the right choice.
I ALWAYS sleep on a flight. After so much flying before and after night shifts my body has become conditioned and I’m usually asleep before the safety demonstration begins (I’ve not seen one in years!)
So, for sleeping, the window offers some privacy and the opportunity to rest my head on the wall rather than an unsuspecting neighbor :)
The Australian national alert test will sound an alarm on every mobile around the country today. Compared to Japan’s screech of immediate death, it’s a cheerful nursery rhyme.
@glen_malley@mstdn.ca I’m at a loss right now. Started/continued many titles the past few weeks, but nothing sticks.
Today I spent time drawing and painting instead.
@glen_malley@mstdn.ca I have kids here, but your points are valid.
Things are no only bad or worse elsewhere, we’ve been here so long earning a low income, that we’re priced out of everywhere else.
Checking the documentation surrounding the issue I’m going to Okinawa to resolve, I realized there is a 90% chance I could have solved it remotely. But conflicting reports from site make me uncertain of the machines current state.
@glen_malley@mstdn.ca I jumped back into that last week. I’ve been craving the D&D experiences of my youth, but like you I had no idea what my party was trying to achieve so did not stick with it for long.
Still looking for the experience. Was thinking I’d install the original Temple of Elemental Evil or Neverwinter Nights.
@glen_malley@mstdn.ca Molly in the trailer isn’t threatening at all. Her clothes are straight off the rack, shiny and new, not at all the battle hardened razor girl from the book.
