Some lessons I'm learning after five years of #gamedev:

1. I didn't realise just how important Steam reviews are. A positive review is HUGE
2. Platforms other than Steam are rarely worth the effort
3. [Most] games are really, really cheap for the value and entertainment they provide
4. Reply to emails from indie devs! A kind message goes a long way
5. You can never do too much marketing or outreach
6. Stick to making the game _you_ want to play
7. The TODO list literally never ever ends

Nothing says "I trust you and respect you to make the best decisions for this company" as much as "I'm dictating that you must use this tool every single day from now on" #ai #gitlab

Went to #MIT's graduation ceremony today... it was so nice being back around academia and celebrating people who all wanted to learn and to grow 🥹

I miss writing and publishing #Ruby.

@Athena@chaosfem.tw this is actually a really solid LLM policy!

Wow, my first Play by Play and the Pavs has been really amazing 💖 I feel like my cup has been filled, my breath has been caught, and my battery has quick charged. Thank you NZ gamedevs for being so, so lovely and welcoming <3
