Possibly this threat: https://arxiv.org/abs/2407.09717
..but more likely attacks against the EDID and HEC support in display drivers, especially as HEC is largely abandoned and probably the driver code has had little attention for years.

I got frustrated by existing options and wanted to avoid running many processes:

This is linux-specific, now looking at similar shenanigans for #freebsd 🙃

My general feeling from 40 years in the industry is that there are many perverse incentives that drive people into bullshit tasks, re-inventing wheels, etc. that *could* be eliminated, but not without addressing the moral and social aspects that create existing perversities - current LLM hype does nothing towards this.
End goals differ wildly between those who would ask the machine to "make me rich" and those who suffer the consequences of existing economics.

@ianthetechie Oooh a BSD homelab.. watching with interest as my brother & I work on our (currently) Linux based two-node multi-site cluster for hosting family services 😁 while getting mildly annoyed at the sheer volume of cruft on a standard (Debian, Ubuntu) Linux host these days.
Rekon we might be up to releasing a stack of documentation soon!

@EllenInEdmonton @Giselle Seconding this ^^. Slow cookers have a tendancy to wash out flavour rather than concentrate it (no liquid reduction, unlike stove top cookery). There is also no browning (Malliard reaction: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maillard_reaction) which often contributes richness & umami. I find slow cooked onions in particular have an unpleaseant metallic tanginess unless pre-browned.
Do enjoy the curry, and ask why a lot as you watch / get involved in the process!

@adele@phpc.social Seems possible.. the PDF viewer started out as a plugin and is still written in JS. There are some very capable Markdown plugins like: https://md-reader.github.io/
for serious multi-format support, pandoc-as-a-plugin would be awesome 😁
