@Natasha_Jay@tech.lgbt There was an ex BBC dalek at the university of Kent in UK that I went to, in the science lab foyer. Much smaller than that one. I certainly could not fit inside. It was designed for short people. Your cat would have been happy in it though.

@kAlvaro@mastodon.social degoogle is the first step.

@BjornW@mastodon.social Yes, Aurora worked for me today. Graphenos, android 17, Auroroa 4.8.3

RE: https://mastodon.social/@Lanske/116913001175740124 Bijna het elfde hier: #librewolf op #debian desktop, #vivaldi op mijn #grapheneos telefoon.

@smeg@assortedflotsam.com So they blocked all the tracking attempts that they detected. What about the other tracking attepmts that got through?

@smeg@assortedflotsam.com I have my home router set up to catch anything sneaky that tries direct dns bypassing my pihole(actually adgaurd, but same thing).

@Quasit@beige.party Using all those google apps and expecting anonymity is a lost cause.

@adamsdesk@fosstodon.org I deleted my account with reddit about four years ago and thought that was over and done with. Last week I was browsing there and guess what? My user/pass still works to get inside. The slimy bastards don't want to lose customers.

@Principia@hachyderm.io A short explanation of whatever this app is would be useful in your #ad

@indigoprivacy@infosec.exchange Now you sent me the same ad twice. Bllocked

@toolstackscout@mastodon.social I can second proton-vpn. Just avoid their openvpn setups which are lousy. Wireguard or just their vanilla apps are the way to go.

@Mathrubhumi_English@mastodon.social Just dump gmail if you want privacy. There are much better options.

@TechFinitive@mastodon.social Just don't use chrome. It is an ad generator and data harvester.

@geekrewindcom@mastodon.social Download rufus and boot a better OS.

@myhauger@mastodon.social Warning: Needs a subscription to view any contents. No thanks

@nixCraft@mastodon.social run lsblk first to check disk sizes to avoid confusion, then check your dd args with care.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Linux commands are designed to be simple and do one thing only in the simplest possible way. Adding safety nets would just make things horrible to script. Always check man dd, before running sudo dd.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Just delete your google account.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social vim over ssh to be sure. But with all the recent kernel updates I average about 7 days uptime across wherever I ssh to.

@theinternetiscrack@mastodon.social Having to pay a few peanuts won't stop them.

@SquaredTech@mstdn.social Thanks but I will keep my location turned off.

@mwaters@mstdn.social @Tutanota@mastodon.social Congratulations! I dumped #gmail for #protonmail about 2 years ago. No more spam, no more tracking or AI training. It was a great feeling pressing the 'delete account' button, that still lingers with me.

@officialaptivi.wordpress.com Why are you promoting #google spyware?

@lifehacker@robot.villas Just delete your #google account. There are plenty of other more privacy respecting places to backup to.

@yoginho@spore.social Congratulations on convincing a new generation that privacy deserves respect.

@RandomHost@tech.lgbt https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weather_rock

@Shawn_Brink@techhub.social Edge is spyware rubbish. Why advertise a new version?

@Shawn_Brink@techhub.social librewolf on desktop and vanadium on android are my go to's.

@Shawn_Brink@techhub.social WARNING: Another spyware ad by same person. Who in their right mind would trust microsoft with their 2fa keys?

@Shawn_Brink@techhub.social Another spyware ad.

@snugglybun@void.lgbt protonvpn works for me. I pay them for a package deal including a bunch of other privacy stuff, but they have a free tier version of vpn that you can try out. Windscribe is another good one that specializes in shitty government evasion.

@hey I am staying with my trusty pixel 7a until it runs out of support. Then I will check out the motorola grapheneos status.
