This is a bit like if the Scooby-Doo gang was just Oops! All Daphnes and Velmas. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Sooper stealthy, this guy. Maybe next time bring the big bass drum from the Purdue marching band. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

The bat was filled with die fleidervenom! #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Oh, the bat was a ploy to get the bat expert out of his office. How incredibly clever! Probably. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Nice throw! Movie thrown weapons hardly ever connect except for the ninjas! #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Why are they bothering with the bell when there's a gaping roundish hole in the door glass? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

That's postal carriers, not cops. Are you a real doctor? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Oh, was it stranger than fiction? Or are you just a boring writer? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

@cocaine_owlbear@retro.pizza Romance writers gotta do research. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Those claws don't seem very useful for the ol' dexterity. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

This play-to-screenplay writer is just *terribly* clever. With all this witty-foil-folksy banter. Is exposition scene done talking yet? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Why is she being very slightly Italian at the phone handset? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

That butler was super effing drunk. Buttling school teaches how to be unembarrassing when completely blitzed. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Who robbed the bank? It was Catwoman? Hans Grueber? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

We're a few seconds behind, maybe. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Did one of the characters just praise the playwright for their characterizations? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Some of them bats is known reservoyers for sev'ral diff'rent zoonotic diseases. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Her testimony will have a powerful effect on the jury. Does that mean she wears low-cut dresses? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

This place is cursed and unfortunate and unlucky all at the same time. Well... bye. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Huh. Kinda late for a surgery. Based on all the surgeons that schedule surgeries on my humans at like 4:30 AM. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

@grickle@mstdn.social After getting the repair estimate, I'd probably get used to it, too.

Might have taken like 30 seconds to teach trigger discipline, Ritchie McGiveguns. #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

But the ghosts didn't actually get anyone? #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

The ghosts made me mess up my threading. It was the ghosts, I tell you! #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

Stand here very still so we can stop motion this around you. #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

What year was it when directors finally figured out that movies should have what the French call "denouement"? #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

I would simply not go down into the spooky cellar that I noted was very spooky and with a genuine corpse-dissolving acid vat in it when I was down there on the tour. #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

Hee hee. Doody. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

"Pure imagination"? That's Wonka's M.O.! #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

That movie was *not* the worst Monsterdon this year. Quite watchable, even with the oboeist trying to climb into my chair with me. #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

FYI that's where they just abruptly end the conversation and hang up. No awkward sign off where both people are trying to figure out how to break off the call correctly. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

I hope I do not sack out before hitting play. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

You could shoot your own junk. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Hey, buddy, you got to get out of here. This closet is ghosts only. #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

They did the weird movie telephone thing! #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

This liquid will only dissolve the corpse's butt. [Checks label.] Assid. #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

With Chicago cops? Yeah if they were trying to get him, they'd get him. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

And not to point out the obvious, but that acid is easily worth more than 1959 $10000 to taxidermists and museums, if you can figure out the wine experimenter's formula. Maybe get the bacterial culture and try a new batch. Dissolve a few more party guests in it to make sure it still makes perfect still-articulated skeletons. #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

Are we going to get a shot of kawaii bat or are they going with the flying vermin angle? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Their costuming budget ran dry after one pair of clawed gloves and a face mask. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Reading about what's happening right now in a serendipitous newspaper article is just super convenient for "tell, don't show" styles. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

They speedrun that submovie they were just having there. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Is that half wall magically soundproofed? #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Here we go. here's the setup. Nothing can go wrong! #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

Better make it two, so the ghosts can finally play a game of American football against the haints. #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959

The bat came back, the very next daaaay.... #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Wait. That's a Bechdel pass already. 1959. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

Ah crap, they're doing that cadence thing where one person starts talking just exactly when they know the other person's line is ending. #Monsterdon #TheBat1959

That skeleton looks great. Like, museum quality. What is *in* that acid? #Monsterdon #HouseOnHauntedHill1959
