I took an extended weekend for my birthday and ended up losing a big chunk of it dealing with a contractor who did some very sloppy work. Fortunately, I managed to sneak in an hour for gouache painting practice. I'm still learning how to be looser with my art but it's a battle every time.

@finner@appdot.net @dgar@aus.social IIRC, Middle English had other versions of will, including woll. Over time, "woll not" blended into "wonnot" and eventually that was shortened into the single syllable "won't" that we still use.
