Ah yes, more “don’t bother voting” propaganda. the heart of the issue seems to be the legitimacy that voting gives to a system – participate if you chose do, just do so w the awareness of the fact your participation was more beneficial to the status quo than it was to you. and, yes, you do need to do more than just vote; but if you lack an understanding of why your increased participate is now necessary you’ll be treading water at best – like the democrats. there have been people who’ve been in this situation before and wrote down what they did with the benefit hindsight included – if you look at their stuff you’ll find out what you need to do beyond voting.

you’re either unwilling or unable to see that the things that the accelerationists want is the eventual outcome anyways because of the way the system is intentionally structured and history proves that nature will ensure that the commeuppance gets worse the longer we put off making a change. turning the election into a farce through a lack of cooperating they way they want you to is the easiest & laziest way for an american to help induce such a change, but it will not work if too many people are unable/unwilling to see past the parliamentary mind games that makes you think that you’re helping the people they’re holding ransom for your vote.

After our debt crisis when the dollar loses its world reserve status the system will blame social programs instead of its inherent rot born of profit. that’s already been happening and i bet it’ll kick into overdrive after the petro-dollar goes away

I was looking at the System76 Lemur Pro, but I can’t seem to find any reviews on the newer models. Build quality and performance is really important to me as my daily driver for the last several years has been a MBP14 with an M1 Pro. i’ve had a galago pro and the build quality on system76 seems to be better than average, but well below the competition at their price points – excluding their ultra high end models. system76 makes sense if you’re doing for the support as well as the capabilities like the ones you’re looking for (coreboot mattered for me back then) and my experience was overall positive w them; but i learned recently that their support made things so easy for me that it made my linux skills get antiquated.

isreal is doing an EXCELLENT job at making the definition of antisemitism blurry – the racism is much clearer to see and much harder for isreal to try to redefine. they should have truly let the ethiopians in – their presence in isreal would have made the racism allegations more defensible. lol

does the link not work for you somehow? EDIT: maybe you’re asking for an easier to understand version and the best i can do is this ai summary: This dissertation, completed by Benjamin Thomason at Bowling Green State University in 2024, critically examines the role of US “democracy promotion” as a tool of empire, focusing on the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Core Argument: Drawing on a critical Gramscian Marxist perspective, the author argues that the NED and USAID function as “engines of intellectual warfare” in US foreign intervention. They mobilize communications and organizational resources to reinforce elite hegemonic narratives, thereby facilitating neoliberal and neoconservative US foreign policy objectives abroad. Methodology & Historical Context: The study traces how covert Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) media and civil society operations during the Cold War evolved into the institutionalized, “pseudo-overt” democracy promotion apparatus that served as a pretext and method for US interventionism after the Cold War. Case Studies: To support its thesis, the dissertation examines several major US interventions since 1983, including: The Contra War in 1980s Nicaragua Operation Cyclone in 1980s Afghanistan The 2000 overthrow of Slobodan Milošević in Yugoslavia The 2002 coup against Hugo Chávez in Venezuela The 2004 coup against Jean-Bertrand Aristide in Haiti The 2014 Euromaidan events in Ukraine Syria Focus: A dedicated chapter analyzes the US-led intervention in the Syrian Civil War from 2011. It details how USAID provided monetary, media, and civil society support to what the author characterizes as primarily sectarian, theocratic, and Salafi rebel groups opposing the Ba’athist government, demonstrating the “moderate rebel industry” and narrative-control infrastructure.

it makes you wonder why the soviets didn’t take on this strategy – having ngo’s laundering your foreign interference seems to be MUCH MORE effective given the perceived degree of separation it gives you compared to official state propaganda mouthpieces like rt.

russia’s propaganda game is bush league compared to the americans. you should see the amaze-balls industrial, world-wide scale of how the americans get their propaganda laundered through ngo’s like usaid and national endowment for democracy and then doles out in tiny pieces like dog pills in a dog treats on media platforms like reddit, facebook, wikipedia, cnn, npr, fox new, cbc, abc, bbc, le monde, der speigel, etc. here’s the stanford/bowling-green detail of it: etd.ohiolink.edu/acprod/odb_etd/r/etd/search/10?p…

the world gets crazier once you realize that they write down that absolute onslaught of pressure – saying that they’re doing it for exactly that reason – and then make it available in things like the freedom of information act, but people ignore it and believe the bullshit anyways. it makes me identify with the climate scientists to believe that making the data freely available to everyone will automatically convince people that climate change is real, but it doesn’t. lol

it’s not necessary and counter productive to this goal since this type of green tech is already affordable and scalable to degree that it can mitigate climate change. this exact same form of sanctioning is keeping this green tech out of our hands to protect oil and auto profiits and maintain a genocidal global hegemony at the expensive of climate change.
