In a similar vein, we have Gander Social launching in Canada, which is a new social network that interacts with Bluesky and I suspect is at least partially based on the same protocols (though I haven’t looked into details yet).
I have an account but haven’t used it yet because I can’t stand the app they’ve actually built. Hoping at some point for a third party solution but that’s at least partially on them, of course.

@Aaronvegh @gedeonm I doubt it’s a concern for most people now, particularly in cities. That image isn’t realistic though - there is no way the satellites are competing in brightness with the ground lighting?
One poll, etc, etc - but now we have a poll showing the Ford PCs in second by 2 points. This is starting to look like something is really going on. Was the jet purchase a bigger misstep than it looked?

I think there is a reasonable balance to be had, where would could continue to produce oil for export so long as there is a market (recognizing that the market is going to die fairly quickly due to economics of renewables), while we proactively transition to wind/sun/batteries and find ways to enter the renewable hardware markets.
I’m more immediately concerned about our nuclear fixation.
