@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us I spent my career as an NHS doctor and was taught to value patient confidentiality by exemplary peers. I can't really overstate the irritation I feel that I could have lost my registration and my job for revealing information that our political masters are falling over themselves to make available to an organization which is deeply unpopular for very good reason.

@brianbilston This poem has been pinned up on our fridge for many months. Our best performance was both being puzzled when my wife's sister phoned to congratulate us at 7pm and we both asked "Why?"

@Alice It's interesting to hear how people who hold audible speakerphone conversations in public places may justify it to themselves. I find it annoying too, but they are not drawing a distinction between that and a normal conversation.

@LewisWorkshop@mastodon.online My wife's is made with muscovado sugar, which darkens the crumb somewhat. Very tasty, but luckily for my waistline she gives most of them away in return for eggs laid by hens we can watch in the field by our window.
