Here's a free tip for CEOs of companies: If you are addressing your employees regarding the merging of your company and another company, it is NEVER in good taste to joke about unemployment.

I forgot to post this, but yesterday I was able to pick up a very nice Go board.
Never too much dice!
Just because it’s a box cake doesn’t mean you can’t jazz it up a bit…
A Gentle Rain Solo-play, score of 12. It's been a long week, that's for sure. S'been two years since Mom passed away. Feels like yesterday still.

This music speaks the wicked tounge…

Sitting in a Pioneer, mining out my Veldspar. About 30 m to fill my hold. Trying to do Momma @stargrace@gamepad.club proud!

While all music from Mario games are very iconic, I still think that Super Mario Galaxy has some of the best orchestrated music out of the entire series.
I'm the kind of person that really prefers the 2nd movement in most pieces of work.

They can rebrand all they want. I have no less issue saying FUCK NICE than I do FUCK ICE.

@aceattveg@gamepad.club @rakuno@gamepad.club Rakuno has mostly gotten you covered, but with the Frigate, the very first one you save is given to you for free. So, if you were to ever start another game or what not, what a lot of people do is save the frigate and if they don't like it, they just don't do anything. A few jumps later, another frigate will be getting attacked and you rinse and repeat until you get one you like.
But honestly, once you get your money good, they aren't THAT expensive.

@belghast@gamepad.club I was there when it started. I've since ended up giving up my cards, except for basically an art collection. I just didn't have anyone around to play with. But the game is pretty great. Feels very old school Magic. I think you'll like it.

@therivercrow@bardicperspiration.club Well... yeah. Sorry, but still. You aren't a creepy creeperson so... yeah.

@stargrace Astero just looks nice. But I"m a sucker for nice, that's why I went Amaar. I can't get over the goooooooooooold

@stargrace@gamepad.club I'm surprised at how fast I was able to get to it, honestly. It does make Mining go a bit faster as a starting player. So, it's been nice! Working my way to huffing gas. I might reach out soon for a build from you?

@stargrace Mostly in the same boat, but I understand and appreciate that I come from a, while not rich, a "blessed" situation. But it doesn't make me any less concerned about others right now.
It's just curious to see how far a society can be pushed without reaching the tipping point. It's actually quite incredible we aren't there yet.
In Orchestra, we are playing Askitaka’s Theme from Princess Mononoke. Someone made the flippant comment that it was only about deforestation and capitalism. What do others think?

@stargrace@gamepad.club See I just went exploring and found the freaking web-way. J space with like 7 wormholes.
@stargrace@gamepad.club So, I'm basically starting fresh again in EVE; do you have any resources/suggestions for starting out? I think right now, my goals are mostly mining/exploration. Maybe hauling later. I don't have a whole lot of interest in active battling at the moment...
I'm being dumb and para-social, and there are no sides, but I'm still Team Aliona.

So often times, when I just vanish for a while, I just don't have it in me anymore. It's probably just age catching up with me. Or years of hauling around a giant instrument. Or not taking care of myself, who fucking knows.
I'm not sure why I'm even talking about any of this. Everyone certainly has their own issues to deal with.

Hey @JenJen@mastodon.art , do you use water colors for most of your art? If so.. do you have any resources for a complete beginner to start learning the medium?

@herroyalmelness@mstdn.ca For me I'm looking at an induction burner that I can use because I feel like I have zero control over my stove top in terms of temperature control.

Hey @stargrace@gamepad.club, about how large is EVE Online these days? Determining if I have the space to reinstall it or not...
Ugh I'm dreaming about all these things I want for my kitchen for cooking and I don't _need_ any of them. But.. would I cook more if I had them....

Hey everyone, @Gazimoff@gamepad.club and others. I’m not sure who knows, figured I’d just broad cast cause a lot of us knew him.
Regrettably I must inform all that @belghast@gamepad.club passed away yesterday on July 2nd, due to I believe complications with chemotherapy.
His last sentiment to most was of love and I have no doubt he loved everyone he knew.
Potentially Hot Take: I'm just not a fan of Chappell Roan.
