Introducing AudioNet! 🎧
If you've used UniMic, you know the idea: your phone as a mic for your computer. But audio only went one way, and to hear a computer the closest thing was Jump Desktop. What if you just want to hear a computer, or send it sound, without controlling it, all in one app?
AudioNet moves live audio in any direction between Windows, Mac, iPhone and any modern browser. Free and open source (MIT).
How it works: a central server helps your devices find each other, then the audio goes directly between them. No VPN like Tailscale needed. Audio is always encrypted, and it only goes through a relay when a direct connection is impossible (still encrypted). Latency is low, and streams recover on their own after a network hiccup. Use the official server or run your own.
What you can do:
- Listen to any mic, or to what any output is playing: a computer's sound from your phone, one computer from another, a Mac's sound (macOS 14.2+), or your iPhone's mic
- Send your mic or your computer's sound to any output on another device
- Play several streams at once, each with its own volume and mute
- Use several accounts in the apps, each with its own sharing switch. When sharing is off, a device still receives audio but sends none of its own
In a browser you can listen to your devices and send your mic, so a Chromebook or a borrowed computer works with nothing to install.
Every part is built to be fully usable with a screen reader: standard controls, spoken announcements, and every status as text.
The Windows and Mac apps update themselves, and the Mac app is signed and notarized. The iPhone app isn't in the App Store or TestFlight yet.

All testing was done by me, but if I missed something or you think something should be improved, just submit an issue, a PR, or let me know in any way.

I really love the new Codex feature where you can have agents actually manage project threads for you, and use one thread as coordination. Feels just like OpenClaw/Hermes in that way.
Is there a workaround for automated text messages, or text messages in general, that have a link in them clearly visible, but I can't double tap on the message to open the link?
Coming in the next AccessiWeather dev build: a user opt in setting to auto-tune into weather radio when a SAME (Specific Area Message Encoding) alert is issued. SAME alerts are those alerts that are issued that triggers weather radio units to wake up and sound an alarm for you to tune in with your actual radio. With AccessiWeather, it auto-tunes into the station that issued the alert, with a timer to stop after a bit (default 5 minutes, configurable).
Was listening to my Suno recommended feed and this song came up. Worth a listen. https://suno.com/song/98c56d09-0ea4-4167-b793-7a72ed6953ec
New AccessiWeather nightly build out. This build basically makes the Weather Radio feature independent from the rest of the app, E.G. doesn't depend on what saved location you have selected etc.
Changed
• NOAA Weather Radio now opens independently of saved weather locations and keeps playing after you close the player until you press Stop or exit the app.
• The NOAA Weather Radio Station Finder now has clearer modes for searching all stations, browsing by full state or territory name, and finding nearby stations by coordinates.
New AccessiWeather nightly out. Last night and tonight are focusing integrating the Windows action center (not sure if I can do anything with the macOS menu bar notification center). Notifications are supposed to open up their relevant dialog. E.G. discussion updates will open the dialog to read more details, whereas alerts will open the alert details dialog. I can get it to work locally from source. Curious to see if it fails on everyone's system or if there's edge cases left to be solved. Get testing!
The new AccessiWeather dev build is out with the new radio stuff I mentioned earlier. Note that the setting is in the wrong place, the audio tab. I just switched it on source dev branch to be on alerts where it belongs, but I'm not making another nightly build just for that small change; it will build tomorrow.

Interesting. Why is everyone reacting to Elvis in my Youtube feed all of a sudden? I mean, he was amazing, but still. Big increase of Elvis content in my feed.
