@rl_dane@polymaths.social My phone hotspot works whenever I turn it on and will shut off when there is nothing attached to it for a certain amount of time A more interesting question here is why would someone turn on their hotspot during an aircraft flight? @robini71@dragonscave.space @munchkinbear@mastodon.stickbear.me

Kinda gettin' mixed signals here

@dneary@mastodon.ie Redshirts, The Kaiju Preservation Society @thirstybear@agilodon.social

@bloor That said, I am going to be unassembling the door on my pop-up trailer and rebuiilding it I have literally three weeks to accomplish this, otherwise we can't go camping

@ajroach42 A certain class of parents are so wound up about their 'rights' that they've forgotten about their responsibilities It's upon the parents/guardians to regulate their children's access to the internet

@tillybridges@mastodon.social I said the executive order is unconstitutional, it discriminates against altersex people, and their budget would be wasted on lawsuits

@UncleDuke1969@universeodon.com LOL, I remember as a kid trying numerous times to slip on a banana peel and failing... then, some three decades later actually succeeding (obvs not on purpose) I too was excessively delighted My kid just looked at me with a "what is wrong with you" expression on their face 😅

@resplendent606 Speaking of which, the media are all about the fuel and fertilizer shortages because of Hormuz, but the cost of plastics is also going to rise because—surprise!—plastics are made from petroleum, too

@grob@mstdn.social My favorite part was equating so-called 'AI' proselytation to being black in the Fedi @mcc@mastodon.social

@itsyndikat@chaos.social Similar thing happened when I inadvertently plugged a live teleconference phone cord into my laptop ethernet port Luckily, it only smoked the port and not the whole computer

@mscheffel@techhub.social When I was a kid, vegetables meant turnips, squash, or corn I discovered salad as something worth eating in my 20s LOL I had idea what ramen was until my 30s 😅 @RickiTarr@beige.party

@AggroBoy Whole can of worms, really California provides a significant chunk of money to US government and the union as a whole That money comes via the tech sectors and the oligarchs who own and control the corporations You see where this is going? California can not come to a consensus on secession when you have a millionaire governor pretending to be leftist and all his billionaire friends funding the no vote And if it were successful, then those fascists would either depart with their corps and cash or shred the new country vying to be the top dog And, of course, the hot war would begin @codinghorror

@catmisgivings "I Cormorant" is the title of my next memoir... @handmade_ghost

@Unixbigot@aus.social @foone@digipres.club Yeah, over the years, I've found new problems I'd have to solve myself, and those solutions are still in the forums under my old handle ... and occasionally, I end up finding those answers again 😅

@csilverman@mastodon.social You're naming this one "This is Fine", aren't you? 😂

@moira Fuck I'm all but the dogear (I really hate that)

@ezeno Funny, but I'm inclined to think that this will become a serious market Music people have their vinyl, and the readers will lean toward 20th century print books and honest-to-Gojira manuscripts Because it'd be pretty hard to convince a human to hand-write a slop-derived atrocity onto paper @warandpeas

@ami_angelwings Almost every single red shirt

@TeflonTrout I bought an '88 CRX HF off the truck. No radio, nor AC, installed my own stereo for a fraction of the dealer price. It got 56mpg even after eight years and 100k miles I got rid of it because I moved to California and I really needed AC in the desert ... also, I was tired of getting rear-ended (8 times in eight years :nkoFacepalm2: ) It was another decade before I could get a car with similar mileage 😐 @babe

@ZachWeinersmith I mean... Which christ? Hippy jesus or uzi jesus? Bit of a difference, there
