Incredibly brave considering, this tour is a huge break for most of those performers - fair play to them taking such a strong stance!

@HollieK72@mastodonapp.uk @benroyce@mastodon.social I mean it basically cuts them off from a massive market.
It’s hard enough as a European to break into the American music markets (id imagine). Playing at a series of sold out arenas would have changed the trajectory of these peoples careers.
But yeah, hopefully they’ll pick up some new Spotify listeners from this and it won’t be too big of a set back.
Chilling with this guy today, he’s cool

Louis is now hosting the code that caused #bambulab to issue their legal challenges, on his GitHub account, and he instead challenges Bambu to try take him on.
He signs off with a promise to cost Bambu 5-20 times more money than they’re ever likely to make, by taking legal action on Bambus violation of the AGPL licensed code they built their software stack with.
Louis predicts they’ll probably end up rewriting their entire code base.

Might have just spent a lot of money on a birthday present to myself…
Now to get practicing before it’s delivered. Oh and I guess I also need to buy an amp 😅

@henryk I mean, if you’re going to try to organise people - wouldn’t it be better to organise them to contact their local representatives and make their grievances felt ahead of time?
I get what you’re doing but the fight has just begun, it’s not over yet.

Mastodons lack of an algorithm is a blessing and a curse.
When I only see new toots on my timeline it means I can go a long time without seeing certain content creators / artists I follow.
So you’re right about boosting interesting posts!
Windows keeps hanging because I’m trying to open a 36MB Excel file…
So I shut down my other 4 instances of Excel, try to open the “big” file again - Windows automatically reopens the other 4 files too, then hangs again!
I have 32G of RAM in this machine!!!
