In the early 2010s, maybe before, I registered a blog name about "Life in the 21st Century" but I never posted anything on it. So much has happened since then that I really wish I had posted on it more. This account is where I start. Life wasn't bad back then: Less conflict and the golden age of the internet before pervasive scams, AI, #fakeNews and omnipotent tech companies Now we have rogue AI and political misinformation shared everywhere.Twitter is a right wing cesspit echo chamber which is still the primary social media used and referenced by politicians and journalists. And now more and more people are getting their news from social media than from traditional news outlets who have standards to adhere to. And maybe that's why there's so much division in the world. Extreme polarised views on all sides of evey argument, fuelled by emotive language on social media and easy shares of unverified information.
