  I miss living in an actual city (shout-out to Cbus) and I hate having to live so far from work to afford housing but… I think it’s really good for me to have this drive through forested hills every day as a sort of visual grass-touching, something to remind me that despite all the awful shit going on there are still trees, there is still dirt, there is still a simpler world removed from all of it that endures despite us.

  My big boy Benjen, the one who had his teeth removed a few months ago, has officially lost one pound. This is a good thing! The vet was concerned about his weight and glucose levels, and while testing showed he wasn’t there yet, his ongoing care plan involved losing some of that weight before he developed diabetes.
