Two Years Ago Today I was someone's Pillion, for a Kawasaki Ninja 500 SE (2024). I sometimes miss my ex partner along with there bike, I hope both are doing better. For now, I've got my own (125cc) bike and can get places, maybe one day I'll purchase my own Ninja and have a loving partner again. #Motorbike #Bikers #Learner #MotorbikeLearner

Was so excited to play Minecraft Dungeons II I can't play it, I use Linux on my computer and went to boot the game and it keeps on asking for "game services" what is a Microsoft store thing. Dungeons 1 worked on Linux but I guess the decided it's not good to have your game in other places, because of this I'll be refunding the game and just waiting for the Sift to come to vanilla. Fuck you Microslop Thank you @gamingonlinux@mastodon.social for the post explaining this, s...

I was able to get Dungeons II functioning after some of the Linux community worked so hard into fixing Dungeons to work through Proton. I have also ended up doing a full 2hr+ live stream playing and giving my first thoughts of the game and I can say even with all the issues, It was really fun. 📺 https://www.youtube.com/live/02aDyinEp0w?si=djilxiDzPkNy4nL7 #Minecraft #MinecraftDungeonsII #MinecraftDungeons #VideoGames #Gaming #Steam #LiveStream #LiveStreaming

Minecraft Dungeons II is getting Steam Deck Support (i.e. Linux Support) This means I and many other people don't have to do work arounds to actually play the game in the future, this is great to know they are actually thinking about us a little bit even if that was due to a lot of us refunding, leaving negative reviews or quickly finding a workaround. Currently looking into Element for a Chat and Voice System as an alternative for Discord, Goal will be to try and replace all my Social Media needs via Sharkey (This Instance) and a Matrix / Element Instance for Discord / messaging uses. I'll still have access to the Solent.Social private chat system but I've noticed a few people are simply wanting a chat system, especially with the ability for calls. So hopefully this will be a great fix for the future. #Element #Matrix #Fediverse #Sh...

So here's some of the tasks I wanna work on through the next month to push for development of everything I do. 1️⃣ More SamXavia Gaming Videos (1 per week?) 2️⃣ A reworked Save System & First Collectables for the @playprofile@solent.social 3️⃣ Further reach for Solent.Social and help more users get involved 4️⃣ Do a few more Live Streams for S...

Looking back at some of my old projects and clearing things out I found a site that I remember finding with a really cool YouTube Alternative Code. I do wonder if there's a way that someone could merge this with PeerTube to make a really cool visual overhaul for PeerTube. https://playtubescript.com/ #PeerTube #YouTube #PlayTube #Script #Code

As an admin of a Fediverse instance it's really cool sometimes browsing through hashtags and finding really old posts. Oldest post I think I've naturally come across has been 13 years old. #Fediverse #FediverseInstance #Hashtags

I wanna move my PeerTube Channels over from MakerTube what should I do? I have a few PeerTube channels on @MakerTube@mastodon.social The goal was always it to be a temporary home for my YouTube content. The time has come to help MakerTube by moving my content away from there system's freeing up storage space and not costing them a monthly price for hosting. I've got a few options; Option 1 -- I upload all channels content to this account. Making it a mix of gaming, vlogging and genera...

I've ridden a lot this week. Getting out my comfort zone and learning the roads nearby me is pretty fun, luckily only had one mishap out of the whole lot that shook me a little. Will be trying to do a little talking segment by finding a nice place to park up and record myself doing a talking part for my next video that'll release for the SamXavia YouTube Channel. (Also will be uploading them to the Fediverse as well). As a new rider this has been really fun and revealing and I'm...

Update 1 We have reached over 4,000 instances we are connected to, This means we have reached close to 10% of the world-wide instances that are publicly known about. Update 2 My Introduction post about Solent.Social (https://solent.social/notes/anmlh8frlte5048g) is close to 100 boosts because sometimes people boost my pinned post and it gets more people viewing and reacting to it. So thank you for everyone that has done that. Update 3 I've slowly added more custom emojis such as the PEGI r...

I often try and do my best in anything I do, work, motorbike, this instance, relationships. I do my best to make things run smoothly and happily. I’ve just been broken up with as I’m “to introverted” I’ve been trying to come out my shell more and have been the past few years becoming a more open and extroverted person but it sucks to think that things aren’t going well and ended due to that factor. I just wished I didn’t feel so empty with this sort of thing and just could feel okay again. I g...

So I have an idea, I'm now stuck on Linux and my mum is looking to get a steam machine in the future. I want to be able to have a physical game like experience with steam. My plan is to have CDs / DvDs that I can put into a drive on my laptop or my mums Steam Machine to boot up / bring up the installer for the game. From my mininal research this sadly doesn't look possible without coding directly on each machine, unlike Windows that allows an autorun file to launch allowing for me to s...

I guess it's Introduction Time. @dansup@mastodon.social my solent.social instance was meant to be added to :loops: loops.video but when my videos have been uploaded it hasn't shown up on loops.video Is this a glitch due to being on a sharkey instance or have I not been added to the loops.video system properly

Wow. Yesterday I posted a little introduction about Solent.Social, and over the last 24 hours, you've blown me away with 50 boosts and nearly 40 reactions! Thank you all so much for the incredible support. Running a small, independent instance can feel daunting, but your reactions have completely validated that this project is worth the time and effort. Incredibly grateful to the Fediverse community today! :fediverse: :heartTeal: Thank you all for the support :3 #Solent #UKFedi #Fedi...

@dansup@mastodon.social I'm curious, With the UK's new Ban on Social Media for under 16s forcing users to most likely to have to ID verify for Instagram and other central socials (including YouTube and TikTok). How do you think this would effect the Fediverse a whole, PixelFed, Loops and more. (Also believe Canada is looking into a similar ban) #UKSocialMedia #SocialMediaBan #SocialMediaBanUK #IDVerification
