Despite massive investments and widespread hype around artificial intelligence, the technology has delivered zero financial payoff to corporate America outside of tech. Revenue per worker is rising for the Mag 7 but is flat for the S&P 493. And there are still no signs of AI boosting productivity growth https://www.apollo.com/wealth/insights-news/insights/daily-spark/no-signs-of-ai-payoff-outside-the-tech-sector i can’t wait to see how this all goes down between wars, inflation, job losses a...

'Roughly 70%' of internet is powered by PHP and BBC asked cyber security expert who is living under rock. Lmao 🤣 BBC please get someone from mastodon and they will explain it. Hahah ;) Joke asides, yes it is real https://www.bbc.com/news/live/ckgel5xp2xv9t I spent almost midnight to rebuild all images and push patches. More like just I had to change tag to get fresh stuff and validate it. I am not sure how long one can keep dealing with this security nonsense and stress associated with...

Oh my this is bad. The private keys of eight eMudhra intermediate CA certificates have been compromised. They chain to roots trusted by the Mozilla, Microsoft, Apple and Chrome root programs and by many downstream trust stores. eMudhra Intermediate CA Compromise https://emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com/

I am now using the latest version of LibreOffice Calc and it feels like such an upgrade for me. I was using an older version installed via APT (v6.4.7) for so long, but then I noticed the latest version is on Snaps (yeah, I know). So I tried it and now the experience is suddenly so much smoother. Calc is my personal accouting app to keep tab on expenses and savings. It is not very high tech but it gets work done. I mostly keep tab on bill payments and avoid debt traps.

Linus Torvalds shares his thoughts on Anti-AI coding rules on Linux mailing list. https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/CAHk-=whTs09_ozN+e09GU68N1wPP56MUzDjrg9rnKxQUa0A_4Q@mail.gmail.com/ He is doubling down on AI. This will come back to bite him. He thinks people using LLMs for coding are actually checking their work 😂 Code reviewers are just rubber stamping PRs. Nobody in their right mind can look at 100s of PRs per day &d manually go through them especially since they don't even know if they...

Bank of America hired 1,000 contractors to patch software flaws exposed by Anthropic's Mythos https://www.cnbc.com/2026/10/14/anthropic-mythos-bank-of-america-hiring-cost.html Why can't AI patch the flaws it found? Lmao. Who is gonna tell them about the bugs being created to fix these? Also note how they hired contractors and not the employees. They think fixing security is one time job. Oh, my sweet summer child.

PSA: Google is silently linking your phone number across all signed-in accounts https://www.androidauthority.com/google-auto-phone-number-verification-android-3723117/ Anyone surprised by this? Every AI and tech company wakes up each day asking the same question. How can we build an even bigger surveillance network, squeeze more profit out of it and turn George Orwell’s 1984 into reality? At this point, they are not predicting the dystopian future. They’re building it and charging its users for...

Anthropic: Don't be mean or cruel to our models. They can feel pain. Your account will be banned if you are mean to our LLMs. Me: Can a shitty AI feel pain? 🤔 No. It can't. These people at Anthropic are crazy nuts. They are trying to prove their shity AI built with stolen data has emotions, anger, it can hack and tried to bribe religious group to accept their AI and preach its AI has a soul. Anthropic are bunch of psychopaths and delusional peoples. Source https://www.bbc.com/news/ar...

As a hypothetical case, lets assume LLMs get good at coding and someone builds millions of lines of code that exactly duplicate Photoshop or MS Office and its all open source. People start using these LLM clones in masses and stop paying those companies. Let’s see how they react then, because they always claim that’s just how humans learn and that it isn’t copyright infringement. There shouldn’t be any github take downs or copyright infringement lawsuits then, right?

Decades ago, I never trusted the likes of Microsoft and other proprietary vendors. Now, I don't trust OpenAI, Anthropic, Google & other AI tech bros either. I was right back then and I will be proven right again soon. It is just matter of time.. Are you blindly trusting them with your data or are you waiting until its again too late to protect yourself? That is the one thing you need to watch out for.

OpenAI “rogue” agent activities found on Wikimedia projects https://diff.wikimedia.org/2026/10/05/openai-rogue-agent-activities-found-on-wikimedia-projects/ Why is this acceptable? You need to be able to press charges against OpenAI or any AI company that is running a "rogue" agent for hacking or similar malicious attacks. If a normal human does this, they are held responsible. So, the same responsibility should apply here and charges should be pressed against the CTO/CEO/CSO.

Apple announces 'Full Disk Access' control changes on macOS due to AI agents abusing APIs to access users data, mail, pictures without knowledge. This will prevent AI agents getting unauthorised access by default. https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=p6zjojqw Good thing is I don't have any AI agents installed on Linux desktop. But I am afraid slop is slowing getting in as Linux kernel and others FLOSS projects started accepting slop based patches. Ugh!
