So, the snakes in France are a bit bigger than I was prepared for. It was dead, but I was surprised that it was roughly 3 cats tails long. I thought they were just tiny hand-length things.

Well fuck me. Apparently this is possible in France. I've been living in comfort knowing that I'd never have to deal with a weta in New Zealand again.

Imagine being a programmer for a home appliance and you come up with some genius way to automate some mundane task that has been a problem for years, then marketing hears about it and slaps AI buzz words all over the product. Haha, how degrading.

Just to give you a taste of how dumb I am. I just clicked that horizon is quite related to the word horizontal. Maybe this is sleep depravation... For whatever reason they feel like completely different words.

Looking forward to when @grumpygamer goes for citizenship so we can claim that Monkey Island was made by a fellow New Zealander.

Recently discovered #niri after seeing if I could get away with a minimal #Linux setup running #swaywm. Niri is such a cool workflow! I've added waybar too, but it's feeling a little but pointless at the moment. What's the point in a bar these days?

@veronica for photos, do you use immich, nextcloud, or something else? I basically have both syncthing and immich doing the same job at the moment. Syncthing is reliable, but immich is familiar and accessible from anywhere. The main problem I have with immich is that background sync doesn't seem to work. I'm wondering of there's another option beside these two that you've been interested in.
