  Working in #SexEducation over the past few years has made me feel even more passionately about December 6th and the anniversary of the #MontrealMassacre where 14 female STEM students were killed because they were female and in STEM. It causes me a lot of heartache and terror, if I’m being honest to hear so much vitriol being shared by young men against women* (*including trans, non binary, and gender non-conforming in the overall umbrella!) Something is happening, and it’s happening very quickly...

  @KimMukerjee it’s infuriating that this conversation has to be had. But I would take this one step further and say that health insurance isn’t a human right, but universal FREE medical care. When I had appendicitis when I was in the US, I was billed $45k for the surgery and hospitalization. If it’s done in Ontario, the government is billed for about $4500. As a Canadian, it just boggles my mind.

  Being my parent’s on-call #TechSupport is an interesting exercise in patience. My mom insists she can’t do it, and will not try and learn. My dad insists that he needs to figure it out on his own until he can’t. The whole time I’m just sitting there thinking “there’s got to be a better way to do this!!”

  I have four papers in front of me. Each of the four pages represent the next four days. Each different type of cookie, of which I will be making between 2-6 batches each, is slated for a particular day. There are 30+ types of cookies on these pages. This is fine. Everything’s fine.   @DrFrascatore this is absolutely incredible! The colours are just amazing, and I have no idea what style it is (I know nothing about art, I just know when I like something), but it makes me feel like I’m at the beach, especially the colour in the wave!

  @jesse fantastic article, and while I don’t want to take away from the crisis with insulin prices, I don’t think any meds should be able to make a profit. Keep in mind, it’s not the lab scientists who make the breakthrough who are making massive amount of money, it’s the executives who price gouge the needy and then make several times what they put into development. So the people who want to study the solutions/treatments for these diseases will always be there and do not need to be paid exorbit...
