  I didn't watch the Argentina-England game. In fact, I forgot it was on. I was driving home from the wildfire in Glenmore. It was very pleasant to hear the result. Away from football, such a shame for all the wildlife destroyed in the fire. I was up a nearby hill and watched as the fire started and headed for home. Had to run past the fire where it was nearest the path. The heat was intense. Later, we were evacuated from the campsite. #wildfires #Scotland

  There are moves put forward in the UK to ban social media for the under-16s. This is to protect their mental health. Yet strangely, I see no similar proposals to ban far-right 'news' providers. Seems to me that such a ban would protect the mental health of a much wider demographic.

  Why do we allow bribes for politicians? He walked into the dressing rooms while Miss Teen USA and Miss USA contestants were changing and in states of undress. He made sexualized, inappropriate, and creepy comments about his own daughter, Ivanka. There are persistent claims of abuse. The Epstein files won't go away.   BBC News outlets, including BBC Scotland, have become loudspeakers that blast out blatant propaganda. How often have we listened to the BBC parrot Israeli press releases as if they were factual? The same approach is seen in Scotland, where bias against the SNP is rife and obvious. Whatever happened to a press that values its independence? Whatever happened to presenting the objective truth and damn the consequences? "Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes."

  Rich, white, and powerful men don't want what they have been doing made public. That is why the Epstein files are kept secret. I can imagine these men joking about Epstein at the golf club. At the same time, I can imagine their consternation at having to do whatever is asked of them by Israel, which has this information and threatens to expose these men. It sounds like a conspiracy theory, which have no appeal to me, but I find it hard to dispel the taste of truth here. #Epstein
