@structuredsucc@mastodon.social Agile product development doesn't mean "design the whole thing, then split it into chunks to build". If your team isn't willing to re-work code, you're missing the whole point. I know this probably sounds quaint now, but this is true even if you're using LLMs in the design / build process.

@structuredsucc@mastodon.social LLMs actually produce decent results if you take the time to code all the determistic tasks away from it. But that requires humans and the capitalist task masters are not interested in that.

@structuredsucc@mastodon.social When it comes to novels (and sales thereof), reviews do not matter to discovery. Discovery has already happened if a potential reader encounters a review. Reviews do not drive sales. Sales drive reviews. With somebody reading the book (a "sale"), there can be no review. The "social proof" argument only matters if the cover art and surrounding blurb-age fails first and the potential reader seeks confirmation of the decision they've already made.

In fact, most are from different language families.* (Of course they'll often also have lots of easily recognizable loanwords. Cement paste = cement + water Cement mortar = cement paste + sand Concrete = cement mortar + aggregate (gravel) So those trucks with the rotating drum are concrete trucks, not 'cement mixers'. Also they do not mix, they agitate, to prevent early setting. They do not need to be tilted to pour out the concrete, they just change the direction of rotation and the blades are like a screw and push the concrete out.
