The 16th C. remains of Parton Old Kirk, the burial place of Scottish physicist and mathematician James Clerk Maxwell. Described as the 'Scottish Einstein' and the 'father of modern physics'. The church is now for sale and the community are trying to raise the funds to preserve it as a museum for Maxwell.
