@ciggysmokebringer @dikleyt@deadinsi.de @ceartas @burnoutqueen Sometime in the 1st or 2nd year of Trump 1.0 I began to aggressively avoid all the breathless headlines like "NOW TRUMP IS REALLY SCREWED..." Those stories played to many Democrats' desire to see justice happen, but they did so cynically, I think. The people/outlets publishing those things seemed to make a mini industry out of that kind of just-around-the-corner comeuppance story. The wheels of justice did turn in many respects, and things did happen, but never in the "booyah/gotcha" way (or timeframe) those stories suggested, and for every actual piece of justice there seemed to be hundreds of unfounded, unrealistic "REPUBLICANS DESTROYED BY LATEST..." whatever.
