Can I reach any other afab non-binary folks who’ve gone through / are going through menopause? I have an appointment with my GP this week to talk about HRT and other options to help with some symptoms I’m having. Obviously I’d like the symptoms to stop / lessen but I admit I’m feeling kind of uncomfortable with the idea of my body changing or behaving “more feminine” if that makes sense. I’ve had a mirena coil for years and my periods have been nonexistent and I *love* this. I do not want to suddenly be having periods now. As I understand, renewing my mirena coil could be part of the solution but am I likely to get more breakthrough bleeding taking HRT on top? I’ve also mostly managed to avoid talking about any kind of gendered things with the doctors for a long time so I’m a bit antsy how I’m going to deal with that too. My surgery does not seem like a very lgbtq-friendly space. Advice welcome but mostly I’m reaching out hoping I’m not alone in this kind of thing.
