Kyiv brutalism is often called ugly, but it's all about the rhythm. I spent the morning shooting how the light hits the raw concrete edges. There is a certain honesty in these heavy shapes that modern glass towers just cannot touch. #FotoMontag #Kyiv #Brutalism

Finding land for development keeps getting harder, especially for large projects. Good plots are taken or priced for speculation. Large sites mean fragmented ownership, unclear zoning and no utilities planned for density. By the time the numbers work, the window is often closed. For architects and developers the work now starts before the first sketch: land strategy, early owner talks, honest feasibility. How are you finding sites? #Architecture #Real #Estate #Development #Urban #Planning

R.I.P. Jesse Adams. Humanitarian & founder of our local Raincoast Dog Rescue. He had dedicated many years of his life to saving & helping to rehome animals in need, locally & beyond BC/Canada borders. Several of my friends volunteered with him & a few also adopted rescue dogs throughout Raincoast DR. Jesse lost his life on Sunday from a drone strike in Ukraine. He went to volunteer & was rescuing animals/people under siege there. Prayers up, for Jesse Adams 🙏🕯

First time travelling with #interrail has so far been an amazing experience. It's amazing that we can travel from Spain to Denmark comfortably in a metal tube 🚄⚡. Unfortunately, as soon as we hit Germany, #deutschebahn did what DB does best and we are now stuck because of a signalling error. Apparently the computer takes at least 20 minutes to restart 🖥️🤷

RE: https://mastodon.social/@arstechnica/117515007042378549 So you know hypothetically IF AI ends the world....they realize if we're all dead no one's going to sue them right? Also they realize that's not ringing endorsement to fun them?
