COP31 is coming up. This is the cartoon I did last year for COP30, and the only thing I'd need to change is the distance to Climate Hell... #COP31 #ClimateEmergency #ClimateCrisis #ClimateHell

I have a hot take about this bromance brewing between Ternus and Zuck but I will leave it to your imagination as it will require a very long content warning description. #Apple #Meta

Since the second #FPGA chip was unlocked, the #AnaloguePocket has become my go-to for portable #retrogaming emulation. Now, with this #OpenSource Cartridge Reader by Save the Hero Builders, I can dump my 20yr old save files from the original cartridge onto my Analogue Pocket. Or even... my #SteamDeck. You can make one yourself off their GitHub page or order one already assembled off their website. https://github.com/sanni https://savethehero.builders/

This is ABSOLUTE gold for writing up a résumé and applying for a job in #cybersecurity. AND almost anywhere else in the IT field. I wish this video was around when I was job hunting. Everything they mentioned is everything I did through trial and error. It's a rough road, but easier when you have some guidance. Job hunters, take advantage & watch/listen to these resources. Great job to @hacks4pancakes & @davidbombal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-TJVyBdF2M

I booted up my computer & was blocked from the internet. I was able to log onto my router and firewall. I had a feeling it was the ProtonVPN app, so I uninstalled it. No success, so I did a Refresh on my OS. No success. In desperation, I looked up possible fixes on my phone and found one that works. So thought I'd share. # sudo nmcli connection delete pvpn-killswitch # sudo nmcli connection delete pvpn-ipv6leak Reboot after. Success! In the end it was ProtonVPN even after d...

I had @signalapp and the #Signal Beta on #PopOS :popos: at the same time. I've been seeing "xenial" duplicates when pushing "sudo apt update." I purged the beta and still saw the duplicate notifications. If you're having issues getting rid of it, here's what I did: • Uninstall Signal. • Then in terminal: sudo /bin/rm -v /etc/apt/sources.list.d/signal-xenial.list :idle: • Reinstall Signal. I hope this helps. :signal:

I hope this toot finds you well! Thanks team for trusting me to be a mod. Here's a small re-intro as part of the #NewFosstodonTeam. I'm Nüjtag and I want to assure everyone that I hold privacy in the highest regard. On my free time, I enjoy [redacted], [redacted], & [redacted]. It's what brings me joy. #Fosstodon has helped me transition into a mostly FOSS lifestyle. I use Linux! The best distro is [removed]. The other mods would agree. I aim to help make this i...

*Friends talking about subscribing to YouTube channels, online news, content creators, etc.* Me: Oh, I typically don't subscribe in the traditional way. I use "RSS feeds" to keep me updated with online content. Friend: What's RSS feeds? Me: Take a seat, my child. Now here is a story all about how, my life got flipped-turned upside down...

I stopped by the @torproject booth to show support and grabbed some merch. Everyone there is awesome. Keep up the great work! #DEFCON33

I completely agree with @hen on this one. If Google restricted sideloading or removed the ability to install apps from alternative stores like F‑Droid, it would be a major blow to #FOSS developers and community. FOSS was created in the early 1980s when programmers began to freely share source code. The AOSP framework and Linux kernel, which are the core of Android, are open-source. Let's keep open-source truly open. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRvqdLsnsKY

If anyone tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

One of my favorite content creators started sharing their Linux journey and now they've tried #GrapheneOS. Enjoying the fact that I'm seeing more of my favorite channels slowly willing to experiment with #FOSS more than ever. :linux: :arch: :fedora: :GrapheneOS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HEgMbWjSZE

Any recommendations for games to download onto my #SteamDeck that take advantage of the touchscreen? Preferably not a game that requires reaction timing, as I want one I can play with the Steam Deck on a table or bed. I'm currently recovering from surgery and only have one hand. :steamdeck: *Edit: I heard "Slay the Spire 2" is pretty good.
