Hello 👋
Re-introduction. I am Linux Is Best. I have two (2) active accounts by this name ( @LinuxBSD@mivatter.com@mivatter.com and @Linux@fairy.id ).
For the better part of a year, I have been actively trying to caution people about the scam group calling itself Gaza "verified". They were a crisis scam group who preyed on people's raw emotions and strong desire to help others. Most of those people were good people who meant well, but being among a minority who saw the scam group for what it was wasn't easy. In fact, it would have been easier to mind my own business, let the scammers scam, and take advantage of people. But I had my morals and principles.
To the credit of your administrator, you're either seeing this post because they believed me, or were not sure and preferred not to be involved, or — until recently — finally came around after Ukraine took out a Russian data center, which knocked out much of the scam group's dummy accounts and bots, at last validating those of us who first sounded the alarm.
I am not going to call anyone out. If your admin previously had me suspended and hidden, they had two (2) credible reasons:
1) The pushback was insane! Imagine you're running this website as a hobby. This is not your job. You're paying for complete strangers that you don't know, and who you've never met, to post random memes, thoughts, shit-posts, and other nonsense. And you come online, after a long day at work, and there are over 100+ reports about this Linux guy. It was easier and simpler to just nuke the guy, even if they had done nothing wrong.
2) The scam group had over 300 members, plus an additional 400+ dummy accounts and bots, and that was a lot to convince people. Odds are, you too, may have been convinced. And there were perhaps 12 people originally versus 900+ who claimed we were just trolls to be managed. It was a numbers game.
Don't be mad at your admin. I may not have liked how things originally played out, but I understand it.
Now, for a good introduction.
Hi again! 👋
Like I said, you can call me Linux Is Best, or Adam — some folks might also know me as Adam Howard.
I'm 45 years old and living out in Massachusetts, USA.
To give you a quick sense of where my heart is: I'm a progressive, and a pretty straightforward guy. Even though I'm a straight male who identifies with my birth gender, I'm a fierce supporter of women's rights, LGBTQ+, and trans rights. At the end of the day, you don't need to be part of a specific group to have empathy and sympathy for others.
Geopolitically, I believe in an independent and free Taiwan, as well as an independent and free Israel and Palestine.
More than anything else, I'm just a humanist who wants everyone to live a good life filled with peace, love, and happiness — with equal rights and fair, equal, and free justice for all.
