Glovers Harbour, formerly known as Thimble Tickle which is a way better name, is located on the northern coast of Newfoundland and home to a #BigStuffInSmallTowns destination. In 1878 a giant squid was captured near Thimble Tickle and in 2001 it returned in the form of a “life-sized” sculpture. Constructed from concrete, the statue is 55-ft long and weighs over 4 tons.
