Well apparently part of my issue was someone authorizing copilot as an app I dont recognize as I dont generally authorize such things.

What I do now is so radically different from webdev these days. I can still do it, but my stuff doesnt lend to gui development.

Thats the thing is for all you know maybe Im an author and I dont want people taking shit out of context when researching material for writing books. So TOR works for me.

Also what is the deal with American comic book professionals, whether it be specific artists or comic editors being absolutely predatory? Ive legit never heard of this problem with Bande Dessinee Quebecois.

By the way Ive tried reaching out several times now to ask #github why I keep getting smacked with web scrapers even with private repos. I think Github is almost complicit with OpenAI and Anthropic at this point.

Does anyone know of a #peertube instance that specializes in tech demos and stuff? That isn't some kind of freemium financial scheme?

Can we have real #forgejo news rather than people insinuating you dont use forgejo because your instance isnt on public internet? It is not public because I have no means to make it public right now. Please respect that boundary.

Even with forgejo I still sometimes encounter people who want to micromanage what I build. On my own machine disconnected from the internet. Where are these people coming from?

Now I know why I feel high strung latelly. Apparently some intelligence rabbit holes on YT is seeding bad information before the German case completes. If I feel stressed not in that world, I cant imagine how they must feel.

I'm not understanding why Kariakou suggested Israel was involved. As part as Israel has been, it just seems extremely bizarre to rule out China or Russia so early. We don't exactly know what allies of Germany may have been effected.

OK I seem to have my polyglot architecture in motion. This seem to be evolving into more like what I originally had in mind: a specific subset of a text adventure / command line games that bridges distinct genres.

Im definitely still making games, but Im making these for me.

Found out all I needed to make my own Crystal fork and disallow outside contribution.

I think I'm going to go back to implementing most of the game engine in #ruby or #crystal, because I can't trust CrystalLang to be responcible about not pushing breaking changes that aren't even authorized by Ari himself. I'm already having to have settings be admin only because of random people abusing pull requests.

Does anyone know if there is an Open Source Software community that can guide you through self-compiling / self-interpreting a language? It's the entire reason I'm trying to avoid using snake_case strings.

Bluesky is becoming more and more like twitter.

Ah ok Mint is going by year of release and supported until 2029. I might not update until middle of 2028 then.

My worry getting into Metal Gear series is if that make want to get to know peoole in infosec. And then Id have to broach the full extent of my game engine.

Granted I'm somewhat putting more work on my self than I need to: I'm working on a self-optimizing stack-based Lisp language. I'm not sure what the final name of the scripting language will be: It acts like a hybrid of Common Lisp and Shell Scripting.

I'd like my software to be completely open source, but certain web scrapers kept abusing the privilege and trying to reverse engineer my software and repurpose for stuff unrelated to games.
-
View post
Oh that's TYT, I barely recognized them for a second there. I'm fine with them. I'm NOT fine google, microsoft, and apple Ai systems trying to trick people into working on deep secret software contrary to the wishes of the open source dev.
-
View post
Well yea, that's why you don't want someone like Tulsi Gabbard revoking security clearances on a whim when we do finally have that oil crises.
-
View post
Ok managed to get this down to 65.8 MB including the binaries. Hopefully that will make reverse engineers jobs...a little bit harder.
-

But for instance I had to look at mobile version just to find out you could even use --no-debug to strip debugging software that bloats your binaries. Its things like that where to me I sometimes think web development should be a licensed profession. If there is a feature, document that feature. If its one devs are suppose to use.
-
View post
Emphasis being on feature intended for end users. For secret stuff, yea maybe dont document that. But thats not no-debug.
-

In fact I started making this language precisely because of how infrequently Crystal Lang people update their documentation.

In the US thats probably not a milkman as there arent really milkmen anymore.

I was just going to say the idea of milk bags being greener is kind of BS. I can see the argument youd drink it faster. Id be worried about punctures in transportation.

Managed to get Crystal Lang documentation figured out for my DSL. I think I wont be hosting that on github though.

So apparently its more of a meme than reality at this point: it's absolutely not a thing in Vancouver.
