  Just quick, if you're going out this weekend and need a money machine, better not use Euronet ones. Appart from the name (just like politico.eu) they are actually a U.S. corporation, and calculate up to €8,- extra just to take out money, even if it's in your own city. This means every time you're just withdrawing a bit of money in europe, you're donating up to €8,- to an american corporation, which could be used for way better things. #weekend #goodtoknow

  Since yesterday, 27 september, the EU increased their anti-greenwashing law. If you go into any supermarket or electronic shop, good chance you'll see products with stickers over their 'bio', 'ecological', 'clima-neutral' etc labels. If one of your favorite products has a sticker, it's a good practice to switch to another brand. #goEU #fair #goodnews

  Any browser developers here? We'd like to offer a new thing: Glass cookies (corporations might not like this) It would mean that a browser setting would show exactly which (personal) data a website is asking. Apart from that, you would be able to preselect all data -into detail- websites are allowed to take.   One of the things being developed in the background is to focus more on public transport and less on cars. The blue lines are trams, trains, metros etc, replacing the yellow highways.   The filter -which notifies if a location is a corporation or a chain- just had a major update in the background. It's based on searches in 30 european cities and added shops who have more then 5 locations per city.   The first results from the #Berlin voting are in and it's awesome. The left (Linke & BSW) have doubled/tripled their votes, while the middle to right (CDU, SPD, Grünem FDP) have lost between 20-40%. This shows people are fed-up with corporations running the city and favoring socialist* parties (citizens over corporations) to get back in control.   Just had a thought thingy: App-tabs. When people have a website and users would like to have it as an app, you can set a link on your mobile desktop, which opens a stand-alone browser tab, with the website in it, acting as an App. This would seperate it from the browser, you can clear cache, set priveliges etc only for that App-tab AND corporations can't take (most of) the data through the OS. #lokjo #idea #apps #EU #solutions

  Nice! From tomorrow on, a new European law forbids big corporations to throw unused clothing in the trash (overproduction) and obligates them to put them in discount or donation.   @jolla@techhub.social With all respect, I think 'size' does matter, but I can't find it in any poll. (of course there's the 'other' field to manually type it in) Many people would love to see a smaller phone just to carry around and be reachable. Half-a-tablet size will actually turn off a purchase.

  Some new things on the map. GPS now needs to be switched on, instead of the automatic default when opening Lokjo. You can click the marker to turn it off again. There is now a (very gentle!) button coming up offering to switch to your browserlanguage, which dissapeares after 3 second. Supported languages are EN, FR, NL, DE and ES. And of course the usual bugfixes in the background. #lokjoupdates

  Following the Rollstuhlfahrer protest here in Berlin, I've listed a new option on the to-do list to make in the next few weeks, to show -if there is any info- if a place is accessible with wheelchair or not. You can already see with many places if they are accessible, partly or not, on the bottom of the popups/list, but this would make it far more easier.
