Not normally my preferred style for lock screens, but you knew I’d be going here with today’s news. #wallarooapp #StarTrek #Picard

Hooray. My mail-in ballot is officially counted! #BlueWave

For the first, and probably only, time, I had enough free time today to get two drawings ahead for #Inktober. Now to see if I can keep that lead the rest of the month. :-) Hey @gedeonm@mastodon.social, no shade on my pixel click art tomorrow—in particular the goof you’ll see in the time-lapse where I didn’t realize I clicked the grid and had gotten too far along to start over, so I tediously repainted the lines!

My timeline sure has been full of penguins today. I wonder why. #Inktober

macOS suddenly refused to open any document I double-clicked on *except* the first time launching the app. Nothing afterword unless I quit the app and relaunched it. So that’s a thing that happened. Full computer reboot fixed it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Okay I’ve got an adorable one in the works for tomorrow! #Inktober

RIP Richard Riehle (many many acting credits, but I remember him best from a few different characters played in various Star Trek series, particularly Batai in the TNG episode “The Inner Light” and two episodes as Jeremy Lucas on Enterprise. https://variety.com/2026/film/news/richard-riehle-dead-office-space-star-trek-bridesmaids-actor-1236916721/

#Inktober #Inktober2025 #LineaSketch #Day1 #mustache Yeah, I’m starting out pretty simple. Takes a couple days for my brain to get back into the swing of doing these drawings.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@gedeonm/117401120413842502 I absolutely love this style, but lack any kind of experience depicting this level of detail. Any time I’ve tried, it’s been reminiscent of 4-bit art instead of 8-bit. 🤣 If I manage to remember next year that the #Inktober prompt list is generally available the first of September only on their Instagram feed, I’m considering using the month head start and maybe try doing all of 2027 as pixel-click style.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@leebennett/115414344886897349 Okay, can someone jog my brain? Mastodon doesn't allow images and videos to be attached to the same post, but obviously I did just that last year. So how did I do it?

I think I finally figured out why such a huge uptick lately in spam texts/calls wanting to buy my house (which is not on the market). New house prices are insane. Young new homebuyers want older houses they might can afford, but hardly any are on the market because many of us (including me) locked in a great interest rate that we want to keep, so we’re not moving. So I’m assuming these spammers are trying to buy up low cost/interest houses and turn them around to new buyers at higher rates?

Which #Twitterrific shirt should I wear tomorrow to pick up my iPhone 18 Pro Max at the Apple Store? 8:15 am Eastern Time update: 6 hours was too short but 12 hours on this poll is past my pickup time. Blue was way ahead last night but Phoenix pulled slightly ahead overnight. Ooo, just realized I could change the poll end time. So final choice will be shortly before 9am ET.

Sadly my proficiency in #StarTrek trivia isn’t as strong as I wish it to be. Hey @gedeonm@mastodon.social, would you have known the correct response to this clue?

@gedeonm@mastodon.social Now that my tackboard is finally installed on my new-ish desk at work, I’m getting my favorite collectible pins put back in place. Someday, I WILL find the pewter version of the logo you handed me back at Macworld 2009. When I do, its home will be right next to the red one.
