Time for my #DesertBus #CraftAlong post! This painting depicts Frieren's place in a cycle of transgenerational kindness. The quotes that surround the party, drawn from the anime's dub, represent themes of companionship, the cycle of kindness, and heroism not in great acts but small deeds. This piece will be raffled/auctioned for charity. Tune into @desertbus, 23 to 30 October 2026, for a chance to own it! #DB2026 #art #painting #watercolor #watercolour #aquarelle #calligraphy...

I just uploaded a new original piece on YouTube! Watch the preview on this post, or hear the full piece on YouTube: https://youtu.be/o-YA2CCCYP4 Performed at the Music and Words Show - Fresh Pages, with guest curator Mirabel, on 22 August 2021. Pardon my intonation. I had, like, a few days to practice this piece. I should re-record it at some point. #classicalMusic #cello #violoncello #violoncelle #newMusic #musician

I'm really tired of trans content creators platforming transphobia by responding to their comments. Sure, you might be refuting them, but I *really* don't need to see a stream of transphobia *from trans videos' thumbnail images*. Less of a problem on platforms where I exclusively browse a follower feed, but still a problem. Gigantic problem on platforms that insist on algorithmic recommendations, even if trans content *ought* to be relevant to me.

It's #DesertBus time! My windows are ready for VST Thumbnails and Quote Database, my live calligraphy desk is clean, and I have a full fridge! If you're not already on the Bus, come join us! It's a weeklong charity stream, with a bunch of funny people improvising to entertain you 24/7 and raffling/auctioning art to raise funds for Child's Play Charity. https://desertbus.org https://twitch.tv/desertbus #DB2026 #Calligraphy #Charity

Hey #DesertBus, it's time for my #DB2026 #Art and #Calligraphy thread! Day 1 - We Like Trains Night Watch have chosen their theme this year. Watercolour and India ink on parchment-texture paper. The paper's too thin so it buckled quite a bit with the washes. I haven't practised textura in so long. This is rough. x_x I really wanted to do David's "murder" quote and Jordynne's "poop" quote, but... one piece per day is...

(1/2) For the third year, I've been Quotemistress, this time to a team of 20 Quote Scribes, collecting #DesertBus quotes. With 2 hours left, we've already exceeded last year's quote count: 1361 and counting! Once again it's been amazing having a small team behind me, often capturing quotes before I get to them, and letting me step away and work on calligraphy and VST things when I need to. Thanks to all of you <3 @desertbus #DB2026 #DesertBus2026

@desertbus never fails to amaze me. The wit, humour and kindness of the crew. The commitment and skills of hundreds of crafters. The generosity of thousands of viewers. $1,347,223.69 USD. For sick children. And thus the passengers disperse The bus at its depot sleeps The silence now begins— But hope is never gone: For it lights every passenger's way as they return to that dark world. #DesertBus #DesertBus2026 #DB2026

Hey, all! I'm looking for a remote desktop application that: * Can work on Linux and Windows (any combination) * Operates locally (LAN or over a VPN link; potentially no Internet). * Priced well for occasional home lab use. * Plays nice in multimonitor-host, single-monitor-client setups (laptop likely). i.e. doesn't mess up window positions when I connect, but has decent tools to manage multiple monitors (ideally more than justscrollbars or multiple windows - kb shortcuts etc.)....
