@yazad3@techhub.social lazynvim is highly opinionated, which is great if you're new to vi. As an ancient vi user, I'm still finding places where I need to "restore" some things to match my muscle memory. YMMV There's also kickstart[1], which isn't as opinionated, but also has less ootb. Have fun! [1]: https://github.com/nvim-lua/kickstart.nvim

I just learned about the (monthly) Digital Independence Day [1] - which offers ways to make (sometimes small) changes. I like the approach! [1]: https://di.day/

As for typer vs click -- that's a preference, mostly depending on how comfortable you are with python types. Those are both not part of the standard library, so you'll want to specifically add them: "uv add --scrip...

@brianokken@fosstodon.org Thanks for the inspiration! I'd never heard of them before, but looked up a recipe and gave it a shot. Definitely an add to the cast iron repertoire rotation!

@floyd@chaos.social I got curious -- `exit` is _not_ a statement in python, but there's a default hack[1] that makes it work that way in the REPL: ❯ python3 -c "exit" ❯ python3 -Sc "exit" Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 1, in exit NameError: name 'exit' is not defined [1]:https://devdocs.io/python~3.10/library/constants#exit

@elaterite@mastoart.social Neat! If you had one, you could get into birling, as it would help with your log rhythm. (I'll see myself out...)
