  @dlundh Looks beautiful. But I expect that ten- to twelve-year-old me would have been able to assemble it without trouble. ('Course, I recall watching two MIT-honors-students attempting the "Black Sea Barracuda", with instructions, and singularly failing to observe the piece differences between steps, so who can say.)

  With submission, the French-originated metric system isn't inherently superior to the English-originated metric system, it's just different. And why not have more than one way to take in the world?

  @LeslieBurns The ambient national (and to a lesser extent, international) circumstances have led me to be less financially sensible than I probably otherwise would be. If reality could slow down by a tenth or so, that'd do a world of good.

  @linuxgal John buys 50 bananas at a fruit stand on a train moving 50 mph. Jenny has 32 cantaloupe travelling west in the caboose of a train coming from the opposite direction. If Jenny is 4/5ths John's age, and John's age is the sum of 2 prime numbers, how many bana-loupes per hour will be intercepted if the trains both started at 2 PM?

  @linuxgal I've similarly misinterpreted the "G.F." phenomenon from one or more of the Final Fantasy games. A "Girlfriend Efreet" sounds like a pretty neat-o entity.
