I saw a payphone and a polaroid photo, AND people reading books. Entertained by my mom & her nephew texting photos of their current paintings in progress. I'm texting on her behalf current artistic painting, questions, & comments as well as showing mom all that nephew is texting to mom.

  So much for sending in my, um ... №2 about a year ago. I was notified today that the company computers (Exact Science) were hacked and all my information has been sold/shared on the "dark web" (as well as 3 million others). No wonder I've been hit HARD with email spam in my @Tutanota@mastodon.social account for the past two months. Ugh. It just never ends. I'm so sick of it.

Realizing that being afraid to take a chance only perpetuates monotonous misery and create sad what-ifs. One life to live. Smooth jazz. Said HI to my neighbor who was also mulching his leaves. He ignored me. Feel good that I tried but I realize its pointless. He's an alcoholic who's been committed in the past with a nervous breakdown. Feel sorry for him actually. Mashed potatoes with chili on top. Mmm.

This qualifies as a good thing but stressful -- a stressful good thing: two jobs competing for my selection. One is in interview stage; one is in hiring stage. Making a list of pros/cons as to one or the other. Homemade mashed potatoes. I made a huge kettle that will last for a few days. Ever fry your mashed potatoes?

  Pasta with olive oil, onions, garlic, black pepper, and a pinch of herbs for dinner. My old TV somehow began automatically muting commercials on every streaming service. How? No idea. Why? On the drive, had a big cry at the graves of my dad and brother (first solid like that since '21 & '24). Guess I needed to cut loose the massive pent-up tension. Watched multiple people with cameras on tripods each working on taking photos of dahlias while enjoying a breakfast biscuit. Honestly could have sat there all day daydreaming about moving to this little active town.

  #3GoodThings The 1963 movie X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes. It's so stupid it's an absolute riot as to how stupid it is. Ray Miland has X-ray eyes. At first he only sees through clothing. Perv. Later he sees injuries through skin. And then there's Don Rickles as a carnival barker? WTH? I love it. Coyote. Up close. Saw a large coyote mid-day crossing the road, on a mission to places unknown.   I didn't sleep very well last night. I think I was awake until about 4:30 a.m. Oh well. Going to pretend none of that happened other than my current complaint due to crankiness: Made the mistake of turning on the TV news. Those news anchors talking with their hands. Not sure when that started. It's an irritating distraction. Turned it off. Onto something more productive.

  A long restorative nap. Maybe too long ... nah. Peanut M&Ms. Just a few. Had a phone interview last Friday & a written interview last night. Next up: a video panel interview later this week (it all sounds very promising). I hope it's everything that I think it's going to be because I'm looking forward to this one. As a cautionary person though, I'm not holding my breath, but I keep thinking, gosh, wouldn't it be nice? #3GoodThings
