  Sad to see the #Atari VCS console will now cease production and support by Jan 2027 I loved the #design language on the console itself, and the fact it ran #Linux, but the low specs and high price meant this one was pretty much dead in the water from the start so far as #gaming goes Atari will “make an OS update available that allows you to migrate all functionality to your local machine, removing any dependencies on Atari infrastructure for authentication and software.” then though R.I.P.

  Gardiner and I both worked on a depressing little article about how A.I. companies are quite literally destroying warehouses full of books for their own profit.   What a depressing glimpse of the future With #Sony #PlayStation sharing that they're no longer going to use physical discs, they're killing the ability for #libraries to give kids a chance to play games.   Some nice #GOG news in that they're now 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 trying to reduce the number of games on their platforms with missing updates.
