funny legal idea: if a company is found criminally liable, rather than simply issueing fines, their assets get auctioned off by the government with the proceeds being used to cover public services. put a bit of risk back into investing and corporate crime

why do 3d printer nerds run a separate 5v cable to their toolhead when they could just use resistors to step down their 24v cable, are they stupid?

just realised that the easiest way to gain power from a fusion reactor is the same as a fission one in spirit, just not in name you use the boiling liquid nitrogen. idiot. (actually i think its boiling liquid oxygen cause nitrogen generally isnt cold enough to maintain superconductence. anyway isnt it fucking crazy that similar superconducting electromagnets are basically everyday appliances in hospitals?

do you think everyone implementing forth on the desktop goes "ok this is going to be the ultimate forth implementation to beat all other desktop forth implementations" or am i just delusional to be fair i intend to release it as 0bsd while also still including a decent enough spread of extensions as to be actually nice to use for desktop development (particularly gforth compatible c-interop. but using pkg-conf instead of libtool because why the fuck would i use libtool lol)

ooo mecrisp-across is really neat. a proper optimizing forth environment running in a tethered arrangement so when you define a function its created and optimised on your powerful host computer before its written to the microcontroller's flash via jtag
