#Enshrouded diary: I’ve been doing a bit of exploring. It’s worth climbing the old ruins. The view is breathtaking. I managed to make some basic armour and made it through the miasma-filled Valley - barely. Found a magic wand - more of a stick really - but it's damage is pitiful. Sticking with that old greatsword for now. So far, so good. Time to rest, eat, and head back into the fog - I need more shroud wood to build a glider.

Thank you, #Bioware. Your characters and stories will always hold a special place in my memory. I still remember pulling all-nighters playing Baldur’s Gate instead of studying for uni 🙈 Truly some of the best games of a generation. Enjoying some late night listening to our host's eclectic record collection on their vintage stereo. Bowie, The Smiths, The Clash, Tears for Fears, Mike Oldfield, Roxy Music, Lionel Richie but mostly '70s records - it's fun to check them out. That early 80s Lenco turntable still works perfectly. #TheSmiths #nowspinning #vinylrecords

Dude just casually does a handstand 30 metres up on the slackline 🤯 I couldn't even do that on solid ground. Slackline festival "Bolo gets high" this weekend in #Bologna, there are some crazy videos filmed from above on Instagram and here is another one on YT: https://youtube.com/shorts/AwMerJdjtvg #slackline #wow

Venice is magical 😍 Yes, there are thousands of other tourists but honestly, it was pretty chill and less touristy than expected. You can still get a 75min 'grand tour' ferry ride for 10€ and delicious sandwiches for 2,80€. I wish we had booked tickets to the palace in advance - completely sold out. Maybe another time. #Italy #Venice #travel

That's pretty important news for #Nintendo fans in Europe. Nintendo will discontinue a number of controllers and accessories, notably the Switch Lite, all? Switch 1 models, NES, SNES and Sega controllers and the Pokémon™ GO Plus + autocatcher (which has been already unobtainable for a while). From the Nintendo announcement: "The below products will not be replaced by versions that contain user-replaceable batteries in Europe: Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Controller for Ninten...

Just watched the #NintendoDirect and wow, that's a ton of amazing games coming to the Switch 2. I'm hyped! We are finally getting a #YokaiWatch remaster! Fans have been begging Level-5 for years and it's a seriously underrated series that was overshadowed by Pokemon in the West. Other noteworthy announcements for me: Persona 4 Revival Persona 6 Prof. Layton Eternal Anima and Stage Fright look interesting as well. The Switch 2 version of Xenoblade Chronicles Not a Metroid playe...

I have to travel to Vienna, so I looked up my options: By train: 173,53 € non-refundable, Bahncard discount, cheapest connection, two changes. Duration: 8:52 hours - if all goes to plan. Air Austria: 110,95€ total (plus 7500 Miles and More miles) round-trip Duration: 1:10 hours This is just wrong. Taking the train needs to be more affordable and we need more high-speed trains trains in #Europe. #traintravel #climateCrisis

"Did he homebrew this?" 🤔 SMT Devil Survivor inspired me to finally mod my 3DS :trainer: I don't know how this got past Nintendo, but the game literally begins with a protagonist handing out consoles - that absolutely look like Nintendo 3DS consoles - with custom firmware and another person hacking the encryption 😂 @COMPU73E@retro.pizza @irgndsondepp@gts.da-miez.de #SMT #ShinMegamiTensei #Nintendo3ds #NintendoDS

@irgndsondepp@gts.da-miez.de @COMPU73E@retro.pizza Look what I just found. I think I paid between 1000-1600 yen per game (5-9 EUR). The Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor series has A LOT of dialogue and text messages and no furigana, so I didn't even try to play the game in Japanese yet. The previous owner sunk a lot of time into the game.. 141 hours and level 99 🤯 I didn't have the heart to delete a save file, I'll have to dump the rom and save files first before starting a...

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin is a wonderful book about love, friendship, love for video games and game development in the 90's with plenty of nerdy references and it's only £0.99 on Kobo right now. I don't know why they call it "The perfect beach read and million-copy bestseller" but I can 💯 recommend it 😄 https://www.kobo.com/gb/en/ebook/tomorrow-and-tomorrow-and-tomorrow-6 #books #bookstodon #gaming

"Avoid pirated copies if you want the author to be paid." Or, you know - maybe offering any other way of purchasing the ebook than *exclusively* selling them on Amazon Kindle would make it more likely that people buy your book? 🤔 I thought I'd see what the hype over #DungeonCrawlerCarl is all about but I don't use Kindle and our library has a 18 weeks waiting list, so I guess I'll pass. #bookstodon

I'm currently revisiting #qobuz and it just occured to me that there is no native streaming service app (afaik) that can organize albums (or playlists) into collections. It's so simple and I'm sure many people prefer to sort their music in some meaningful ways without having to run their own media server or pay for something like Roon. While Qobuz doesn't have collections natively, there is this excellent third-party open source app QBZ for linux desktops that does exactly that....

Had a short break on the North Sea coast, staying in a sleepy seaside village that used to be a popular summer destination in the 70s or 80s. Rainy and windy, but having the whole beach to yourself was lovely. Spent the day drinking coffee, eating cake, fish and chips and watching the tides and the container ships pass by. There wasn't much else to do really. Dinner was served until 7pm, most restaurants were closed by 8 🤷‍♂️ #Nordsee #NorthSea #beach #traintravel #travel

🏋️ Completed my first #powerlifting meet as a spotter/loader this weekend at our gym's summer max-out and thankfully everything went well 😅 Many new PRs, everyone had fun and the adrenaline and dopamine rush on that platform was real. Had a proper workout myself 😂 I've spotted in training before, but not in a competition with judges and IPF rules. Got some helpful feedback and learned a thing or two. I had a good time, 10/10 can recommend, will do that again :vaultboy: #gym

"...consumer trends as the general preference for digital media significantly outpaces physical discs. This transition will enable us to align more closely with how most of our community prefers to access and play games.." 👆 This is how Sony PR tries to frame the ending of physical discs as something gamers want. It’s corporate gibberish and an outright lie. There are two more plausible reasons for this move. 1. There is ZERO competition in the digital Playstation games market, there...
