Is there a reliable and good European domain name registrar? I don’t need anything fancy, but prefer to not deal with garbage companies. Non US is in today’s world definitely a must.

Meh. Seems our trusty old Synology NAS has developed a case of not booting up. Wasn't on my bingo card of things that had to go wrong now, but here we are. And Synology has caught a severe case of late stage US capitalism it doesn't seem to be possible to just take the disks and put them in a newer unit as Synology now requires their own branded and expensive disks. Fucking fuck. We have backups, of course, but restoring somewhere is really annoying. #synology #nas #dystopy

Tonight the local Python community has a meeting. Fun to see some other developers every now and then, doesn’t happen every week. Here the Python release manager gives a short overview of new stuff in 3.14. #python #meetup

@fahrni@curmudgeon.cafe I expect to spend as little time here as possible and get back to working on Linux and Mac as soon as things work ok. I expect that the full VS would start to impose own things onto this already fragile project which would break everything. MS is not known for playing well with others. I did use the "full" VS when I last worked on this port about 12 years ago and it was ok back then as I let it do its own project files and whatnot.
