🗳️ #pdx pals in District 4 — if you haven’t voted already, please do not rank bike cop Eli Arnold “Records show Arnold does not apply force equally. Arnold disproportionately used force against homeless Portlanders and Black Portlanders, according to the data.” https://www.portlandmercury.com/news/council-candidate-eli-arnold-is-a-cop-in-2021-he-used-force-more-than-any-other-officer/

The not-so-new-anymore `@import` #JSDoc tag support that landed in TypeScript 5.5 makes it much, much nicer to import type definitions ✨ ``` /** @import {Page, Post} from "../types.js" */ /** * Build permalinks for pages and posts * @param {Page | Post} entry * @return {string} */ ``` Great for keeping JSDoc blocks tidy, and especially nice when the same type is used multiple times throughout a single script. https://multiline.co/mment/2024/02/importing-jsdoc-type-defin...

🌞 macOS pals — is there a weather app that will fire off a notification if the temperature crosses a certain threshold? Weather.app has some basic options, but I’d really love to get a little alert it’s time to close the windows when it’s too hot out, or open them up again when it cools down 🥹 Does such a thing already exist?

📝 I wrote about my current answer to an often-invisible aspect of blogging (maybe especially blogging with a static-site generator) — “What’s your setup?” What tools are you using? How do you go from idea to draft to published post on your blog? https://multiline.co/mment/2026/01/my-blogging-setup/
