RE: https://wandering.shop/@cavyherd/117463694249117141 For me this is every single newsletter ever. It should be illegal. Just interacting with a company gets me subscribed to a newsletter I 1. Never subscribed to in the first place and 2. Have unsubscribed from multiple times.

Just listened to two “classic” albums because I realized I’d never actually heard them front to back in one sitting. Great experience. Both were solid with standout hits that made them classics, but often the filler / lesser know tracks didn’t stand the test of time.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@anolandria/117457243287735729 This is what I mean when I talk about the fact that we already have socialism. It’s just for corporations and not for the actual regular people who need it.

RE: https://mas.to/@carnage4life/117459604453204095 We need to take this approach with a lot of things. Especially guns. We should require all guns owners to be licensed and insured (just like we do with cars).

Here’s the thing. It looks like a political cartoon, but it’s real. The slices of the pizza are exactly mathematically proportional to reality. We are being screwed every single day by rich oligarchs. And we know it. It’s time to fundamentally change the power structure in our economy. Nothing will change if we continue to allow money to be the ultimate goal and arbiter of power.

There’s quite the #BBQ drama going on in #Durham, #NC right now. Dampf Good BBQ is a permanent food truck situation in Cary. Their Q is Texas style, but still very good. They recently announced they were going to open a brick a mortar downtown Durham location in the building that used to house The Pit (a now defunct BBQ joint). HOWEVER, the Dampf owners are very vocal homophobic, transphobic, anti-vaxers. Durham, NC is a vibrant liberal city that is very LGBTQ+ friendly and has venues such...

RE: https://journa.host/@z_everson/117292072322880036 If we ever regain control of our corrupt government, the grift, insider trading of this administration is so blatant, it really shouldn't be hard to lock ALL of these people up for a very very long time. A failure to do so means it will happen again and / or those in power plan to do the same themselves.

WUT! This is what they must mean by #AI #music #fraud. I opened Spotify (reasons, don't judge) and the homepage said "New Release from Whiskeytown." Screenshot below. For those who don't know Whiskeytown was Ryan Adams first band out of Raleigh, NC. He famously kicked the rest of the band to the curb and went solo as soon as he could despite the band becoming extremely successful. So there's a lot of bad blood there still to this day. Clicked the song and it is DEFINITE...

NEW Sylvan Esso!! "Ow ∞ is a trust fall. It’s yes, and – . It exists in spite of – it’s messy and hellish and free, a scotch-tape collage of memories, ephemera, Y2K-era burned CDs and backseat makeouts. It’s an invitation to the party, one riddled with ecstatic joy and failures and second / third / fourth adolescences, cities under water or on fire, our dystopian present and past and future, arms wide open to meet it, to embrace and absorb the Pain, in all its forms, vomited out into somet...

“Rules for thee, but not for me.” North Carolina company fined half a mil for dumping forever chemicals into the Cape Fear River goes “oops, we’re broke, can’t pay” and gets away with it. No jail time, no repercussions. Do you need any more proof we live in an #oligarchy where rich corporations pollute as they please? Imagine if you had a court fine and said you weren’t able to pay…you’d be locked up so fast it would make your head spin. #corporatocracy
