  Just tried to explain to someone falling literacy rates and lack of support for public education as briefly as possible and I'm about to spontaneously combust. The inescapable conclusion is it's a "shut up and get a job" pipeline. The bros are killing us. Build a better system. Then blow the old one up. (If we blow up the existing system without a viable alternative it'll just get exponentially worse b/c nature and vacuums and power and patriarchy and colonialism.)...

  The beach was windy today and the wind was hot. That almost never happens. Not exactly refreshing. Saw a small husky playing in the surf with her humans, loping into the waves to her dog-mum and back to the sand to dog-dad. When I walked past she came running to see me with a big smile on her face and sniffed the flip-flops I was carrying before bounding off into the water again.
