I really hope the upcoming smart home hub from Apple is going to look like one of these rendered concepts. It could be a nice addition to my kitchen, if it's not priced over 300-350$. Considering RAMageddon it might fall into the 400-500$ category. #xp #Apple #Homepod #Mac #JohnTernus

An evening visit resulted in some obligatory cheese snacks and a very long ZzZz that was unfortunately not next to me. After the nap I decided to treat Miss Bolo to some Cat TV. #xp #caturday #CatsOfMastodon #catsoffediverse

Looks like the new Apple TV 4k is finally available for a very exessive price of $299 and 350 in the EU. Well I am sorry #Apple but I am perfectly happy with my Google TV Streamer that I recently purchased for a third of your price and it allows me to sideload apps and watch UK channels outside of the UK. Eat that! #xp https://www.macrumors.com/2026/10/13/apple-tv-4k-is-now-even-more-expensive/

$299 for the new HomeView from Apple? Take my money! Oh.. no, not available in the EU. 😭 #xp #Apple #HomeView https://www.macrumors.com/2026/10/13/apple-announces-homeview-smart-home-hub/

The new Apple TV 4k with A19 SOC and 8 GB RAM and 128GB SSD is actually actually a Macbook Neo derivative without a screen. Or a cheap Mac Mini Neo. Can anyone jailbreak TvOS so we can run MacOS on it? #xp #Apple #AppleTV #MacbookNeo #MacMini #JohnTernus

Apparently besides having to pay the same $299 for a wall mounted version of the Apple Homeview, it's even more expensive, because you have to buy a separate wall mount for at least $59 or higher AND it doesn't come with a charger, adding an extra 20-30$ to the total. So you're paying almost $400! If this the start of the John Ternus era, I am expecting a difficult decade for Apple. #xp #Apple #HomeView #JohnTernus https://www.macrumors.com/2026/10/15/wall-mounted-h...

I've just made a working remote control for my NAD 7050 Amp, since the manual remote never really worked properly and the NAD app was flaky as hell. So basically I can now control it through a web interface in my Pixel or other device. Very convenient and it only took me (erm.. AI) one hour. Super satisfied!🤩 #xp

You can now play with an authentic emulation of the Electron Machinedrum in the browser. I owned one in the distant past and I must say it really sounds and feels quite close to the original hardware. 👉🏻https://machinedrum-study.pages.dev/ #xp

I made this Japanese dish Yakisoba for the first time. It's a bit meh. Most probably because I replaced chicken with tempeh. #xp

Very typical of Apple to do this. First $300 raise for the M6 Mac Mini retail price due to RAMaggeddon and now taking away the option for NAND flash upgrade? I'll keep my M4 Mac Mini for at least another 4 more years. https://www.macrumors.com/2026/09/22/new-mac-mini-ssd-cant-be-removed/ #Mac #Apple #MacMini #M6

It's fascinating to see how both Qualcomm's and Apple's latests SOC's are very close in performance. Both the A20 Pro are Snapdragon 8 Elite extremely fast even approaching desktop class SOC's. https://www.heise.de/en/news/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8-Elite-Extreme-Gen-6-in-Benchmark-Test-11462533.html #Qualcomm #Apple #A20Pro #Snapdragon

I paid quite some $$$ last year for the Pixel 10 Pro 256 GB and I refuse to be artificially limited by Google in regard to new features. Hurray to all hackers and modders out there who allow me to use the Rambler feature in Gboard with just 30 mins of tinkering. It now works flawlessly on my Pixel 10 Pro. #xp #Google #GooglePixel #GooglePixel11 #Gboard

I was heavily invested into this intelligent and handsome Italian guy on social media. I exchanged messages with him and was highly enthusiastic and felt potential. ..until I found out that the reciprocity in the conversations was one sided and he answered a personal question with a link 🔗. 😱😂 Anyway... it was clear that my warm feelings weren't reciprocated and his interest in me was purely network oriented. The warm Italian grand gestures were just a communication style. Nothing mo...

Good morning lovelies, I woke up early at the start of a new heatwave here in NL. I am really happy I've had such a lovely date yesterday. As some of you who have been following me for a longer time time, might know I haven't been very lucky when it comes to finding (new) people that truly align with me, my needs and my life values. There have even been moments in the past year I was starting to doubt myself for being too complicated or too alien for the person I am. Yesterday's...
