    @jkratz36 I do remember Casey and Kevin saying an account on Forkiverse can always be migrated if Forkiverse is shut down. I did not know if the Mastodon platform held accounts as a saved backup repository of a server admin went rogue or if the idea is that we trust server admins to shut down gracefully.

    @jkratz36 I would assume abandoning old posts. Not sure I really would care about losing follows or followers. I mean if a community stops existing, should I think I can just find that same community in the same way in the Fediverse? Certainly not an experimental community. I guess, that&amp;#39;s how I&amp;#39;ll think about it. The architecture of a server with a security moat makes sense, with the permeability coming by follows or other sharing/publishing methods.

    I am fascinated by the old farm implements near my house. They have so many well designed castings in them and some assemblies of cast iron and wrought iron that are so clever that I can&amp;#39;t figure out how they were made. Notice the spokes of these wheels. I would think the spokes would be wrought iron bar, but possibly cast? Notice the very tight pinned or hot set pin assmblies to the cast hub.

    @mason @baldur I said TRYING a chatbot is harmless or the individual, and I stand by that. I also think using AI on a regular basis is not harmful to adults. I think a case can be made that predicts broad based societal harms or harms to children or developmental or educational harms, but all of these are distinct domains of use and potential benefits or harms. I am 100% sure that people who worry about their own brains being harmed could test this for themselves with zero risk of self harm.
