  Finally getting to try a cocktail bar in our old home town that we never got to try when we lived here before (because of child and then covid) and it’s exactly the kind of cocktail bar/speakeasy that i love.

  Am I really drunk after three cocktails at two suburban cocktail bars? Yes. Am I also feeling good about myself after a night of honest conversation with my sister and husband? Also yes. So whatever hangover I have tomorrow is 110% worth it.

  Was thinking of putting books from my future wishlist on a list of suggestions for Christmas. But then I realized that several are parts of a series and it would be uncouth to insist they buy the version with a cover matching the one I already have. So I guess I’ll just buy those myself.

  I haven’t had to deal with payroll for the United States in two years. Dealing with it tonight and the separate state employee and employer taxes has reminded me that Federalism was a Mistake.
