Pro tip: Do you pay rent through an online portal? Try mailing a check to the address on your lease instead! Not only can you avoid a service fee, you'll get to see how your landlord feels about doing the basic work of depositing a check to get their free money instead of getting it via direct deposit! You might find that they get really hurt when their free money comes with a chore and a reminder that you know their address! #lifehack
