If you’re an elderly Chinese person in SF Chinatown, living in a 8x10 box in Chinatown and being around your friends, walking and taking the bus, eating all the food you care about, having cheap groceries everywhere around you, having health and food services that speak your language, is an infinitely better life than living in a suburb with no one your age and nothing that reminds you of home.
