They may as well have. If they ever do end up releasing something, it won’t be anything like what they promised in the beginning.

What would be the beginning in your reference frame? because they also presented something 10 years after the first game that wasn’t fortnite but was still already nothing like a continuation of the first game. Planet-sized procedural open-world that’s mainly oriented for multiplayer, and chronologically a prequel with new characters, despite the fact BG&E ended with a huge mess left to be resolved. With a weird community artist plan for people who wanted to contribute art for the game. If I am not mistaken the only “promise” we got before that was a “leaked” cinematic with BG&E characters that they provided zero comment for.
